Uptown Cheapskate is growing and we’re looking for three motivated, reliable, and energetic Assistant Managers to join our team! We buy, sell, and trade trendy secondhand clothing and accessories, and we’re seeking leaders who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoy working with people.

Position Overview:
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll support daily store operations, help lead the team, and ensure customers have a great in-store experience. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive, solutions-focused attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day store operations
  • Help train, coach, and motivate team members
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle escalated concerns
  • Support buying operations (evaluating and pricing merchandise)
  • Maintain store organization, cleanliness, and visual standards
  • Assist with scheduling, inventory, and opening/closing duties
Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Preferred (Bonus):

  • Management or leadership experience
  • Experience in thrift, resale, or secondhand retail
